Using the website
The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no other tracking. There are no forms on the site, and it stores nothing in your browser.
The website runs on servers of Netlify, Inc., a US company. When you open a page, your browser sends the server standard technical data, such as your IP address, browser type and the address of the page. Netlify processes this data on our behalf to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use it to identify or profile visitors.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the website working and secure.
Podcast videos and links to other services
Podcast episodes are published on YouTube. A video is loaded only when you press the play button, and until then the page has no connection to YouTube. When you press play, YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) receives standard technical data from your device, such as your IP address. Google’s privacy policy applies to that processing.
Links to services such as Spotify and LinkedIn take you to their own sites, where their own privacy policies apply.
Contacting us
When you email or call us, we process your name, contact details and the content of your message. We store contact details and enquiries in our customer relationship management system. We use this data to reply to you, to manage client and partner relationships and to send our newsletter.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries and managing client and partner relationships. When we enter into a contract with you, the contract is also a legal basis.
We keep the data for as long as it is needed for these purposes. Data related to contracts and invoicing is kept for the period required by the Finnish Accounting Act.
Newsletter
We send a newsletter to our clients, partners and others who have been in touch with us. We use the names and email addresses stored in our customer relationship management system.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping in touch with clients and partners. If you subscribed to the newsletter yourself, the legal basis is your consent.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the newsletter or by writing to info@n4c.fi. We will then remove your address from the mailing list.
Recipients
We do not sell your data or disclose it for marketing. The data is processed on our behalf only by the service providers we need to run the website and our communications: the website host (Netlify), the provider of our customer relationship management and newsletter service, and providers of email and information system services. We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it.
Transfers outside the EU and EEA
Technical data from the website may be transferred to the United States, because Netlify is a US company. Netlify participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The transfer is based on the European Commission’s decision that the framework ensures an adequate level of protection.
If we use other service providers outside the EU and EEA, the transfer is based on an adequacy decision of the Commission or on standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission.
Your rights
You have the right to
- know whether we process your personal data, and get a copy of it
- ask us to correct inaccurate data
- ask us to erase your data
- ask us to restrict processing
- object to processing based on legitimate interest
- have your data transferred to another party when processing is based on a contract.
Send your request to info@n4c.fi. We will reply within one month at the latest.
If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi).
Changes
We will update this notice if the way we process data changes.
